A deeper base cabinet offers increased storage but you often find yourself too far away from the mirror to conveniently apply make-up or shave. Two alternatives to counter balance deep base cabinet designs : either use a top mirror cabinet so get the mirrored area closer to the face, or go for a structured/ curved vanity top where the depth of plan is reduced in some area(s).

		^ For straight line furniture : Best visual comfort is obtained with a compementary mirror top cabinet where mirror is closest to the face and provides close enough lights.
A base cabinet with structural or curved structure offer a point where the depth of plan is reduced so the face gets closer to the mirror and you don't have to bend to put make up on/ shave. It also offers optimum lighting. >		^ For curved line furniture : Best visual comfort is obtained with areduced depth area of max 40cm depth.
